Overview of
Edgeware Health as a new medical centre.
Edgeware Health is a new General Practice clinic that opened in November 2025, serving the local Edgeware and St Albans community.
We provide a complete range of GP services, offering personalised, high-quality healthcare in a modern and welcoming environment.
Enrolments
We are now welcoming new patient enrolments.
Enrolment is available to all eligible people in the Christchurch area. Enrolments outside this area will be assessed by the practice. Existing patients of Dr Caroline Christie can continue their care at Edgeware Health but need to complete a new enrolment form.
We offer a new patient review with the Nurse for $30. The Nurse spends 30 minutes with you to assess your healthcare needs and orientate you to the practice. We arrange this once we have your notes from your previous practice.

Our Team
Dr Caroline Christie
Specialist GP
Has over 30 years of experience as a general practitioner, managing the full range of medical conditions and surgical procedures. Dr Christie also serves as a director on multiple health-related boards and committees that support General Practice. Her interests outside work include art, reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Dr Tonya Sadler
General Practitioner
An experienced GP with a strong belief in holistic healthcare, Tonya will be doing regular sessions as well as providing cover for Dr Christie. Originally from the UK, Tonya is a New Zealand citizen with 3 adult children. Having recently renovated a cottage on the outskirts of the city, she is now learning to garden as well as playing the viola, swimming, walking and reading in front of the fire.
Nicky Scott
Primary Health Care Nurse
Until recently she lived in Edgeware for 25yrs raising her girls and is very happy returning to work in the neighbourhood. A General Practice Nurse for 30yrs, building trusted relationships and supporting you and your family/whanau to have access to the care that you need to be well, is really important to her. Her passions lie in proactive and planned equitable based care, mental wellbeing and supporting the vulnerable and diverse people living in our community. When not working, enjoys being in the outdoors, travelling or in her retro caravan, keeping fit and charity shopping.
Charmin
Nurse
Cham is a nurse with experience in older adult care, who has shifted to working in general practice. She provides compassionate, professional care to patients of all ages. Cham enjoys family time, the outdoors, movies, and relaxing at home.
Lynn
Admin
As a previous Practice Manager, Lynn tried to retire, but never quite managed it. Lynn now brings her wealth of experience and knowledge to the Edgeware Health team as an administrator on a part-time basis. When she’s not here, she’s spending time with her six wonderful grandkids and her very cute dog.
Iris
Admin
Iris has recently graduated with a commerce degree from the University of Canterbury. She has joined the administration team full-time at Edgeware Health, bringing her youth and enthusiasm to the role. Outside of work she loves baking, dancing, and reading.

Test Results
Normal Results
Our main method of communicating test results is via our patient portal MyIndici. When the GP has seen and filed these results, they will be available to view. Most results will be filed within 48 hours although some results may take longer.
For our patients not on the portal we will only communicate abnormal results.
Abnormal Results
Abnormal results will be communicated either via a phone call from a clinician or the practice will book an appointment for you to discuss the results.
Hospital and Specialist Results
Hospital and Specialist results are not routinely received by the GP team. If you require us to follow these up for you there may be a fee incurred. Alternatively, patients can contact the hospital or specialist team to access their results.
